Job Description Summary

This role sits at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and partnership execution, requiring a forward-thinking approach to drive sustainable value through productivity, expense reduction using new and emerging capabilities. It will be focused on broadly understanding customer pain points and developing solutions that can apply broadly to the enterprise leapfrogging our competitors. .

As the Vice President of Customer Emerging Capabilities & Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and implementing innovative solutions that align with emerging customer needs, technological advancements, and evolving business trends. You’ll interface with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) leader, business leaders, and the enterprise Chief Technology Officer (eCTO). You will play a pivotal role in developing the partnership strategy for the enterprise, focusing on creating tangible value through strategic collaborations. In addition to strategic partnership development, a key aspect of this role will involve understanding the tech startup landscape, increasing awareness, and enhancing our capabilities in this domain. You will lead a dynamic team responsible for driving strategic initiatives that enhance the company's competitive edge and future-proof its position in the market. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Partner and collaborate, particularly with the leader of Strategy, Data and Innovation (SDI), Chief Technology officers council Center (CTOC), Chief Customer Office, Finance and various business units to lead the develop new and emerging capabilities by conceptualizing, designing, and executing business use cases and experiments that leverage cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. 

  • Execute a high-value partnership strategy aimed at boosting revenue and profitability while improving customer satisfaction.  

  • Stays at the forefront of industry developments, customer behaviors, and technological advancements to identify emerging trends with the potential to impact the company's business model and strategic objectives. Be a champion of new trends impacting and disrupting our industry to advance our businesses and enterprise needs. 

  • Evaluate and cultivate strategic partnerships with external organizations, including startups, technology providers, research institutions, and industry leaders. Identify opportunities for collaboration that will enhance the company's competitive advantage and drive long-term value creation. Execute with rigor with great financial rigor and discipline. 

  • Establish and maintain an innovation pipeline that enables the continuous flow of ideas, initiatives, and projects aimed at addressing current and future market demands. Implement rigorous evaluation criteria to prioritize initiatives based on strategic alignment, feasibility, and potential impact. 

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with emerging capabilities, including regulatory compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and reputational risks. Ensure that all initiatives adhere to industry standards and best practices. 

  • Serve as a thought leader within the organization and the industry by sharing insights, best practices, and thought-provoking perspectives on emerging trends and technologies. Represent the company at conferences, industry forums, and networking events to showcase its innovation capabilities and thought leadership. 

  • Lead and develop a high performing team that has clear understanding of the capability goals.  

May perform other responsibilities as assigned. 

Reporting Relationships:  Reports to Chief Innovation and Digital Officer. Leads a team of 20-25 high performing professionals. 

Typical Skills and Experiences:   

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, technology or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
