Requirements
The Human Resources Generalist will support a variety of culture and people related initiatives aimed at creating an environment where our people can do their best work. The primary responsibilities of this role are to support the culture, talent, benefit and operational initiatives of the Human Resources team. This role requires the HRG to be self-motivated, organized and detail oriented with good proactive instincts for how best to be of help in a growing, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
On the day to day, the Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource department including assisting the Talent Acquisition Manager with hiring and interviewing, assisting the Payroll + Benefits Specialist with timekeeping and miscellaneous payroll functions, assisting with administration of benefits, leave of absence processing and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assists the Talent Acquisition Specialist in recruiting, interviewing, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Effectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Perform employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requests.
- Conduct employee related investigations as necessary.
- Assists with the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including Transitional Work Program and Accommodations Process.
- Assists with health and welfare benefits open enrollment meetings and employee meetings to update or roll out other benefits related programs as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS database.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll entry for designated group.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ideal candidate will have min 3 years HR experience in 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual - Spanish/English
