Global Supply Chain Operations, Manager I
Location: Arden Hills, MN
Work Mode: Hybrid, 3 days onsite required. No remote employees.
About the role:
Responsible for implementing and supporting project management processes in Global Operations supporting our Arden Hills facility. Lead implementation of key site programs by leveraging project management tools and best practices, and effective indirect management of cross functional teams and stakeholders. Proactively coordinate with quality, engineering, supply chain and facility teams to drive priorities, process development, and improvements needed to support business goals and objectives. Key interface on cross functional programs with planning, manufacturing/plants, and distribution stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manages key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops and implements project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.
- Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
- Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
- Directs project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
- Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path items while ensuring project quality.
- Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
- Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
- Consults with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge.
- Conducts project postmortems and communicates lessons learned in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Manages small to medium-sized (occasionally multi-site) cross-functional development teams; leads teams effectively; provides input to functional managers on team and team member performance.
- Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and franchise customers, leads phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering or technical background preferred
- 5 years of experience in medical device industry, or similar technical industry.
- Experience in product development, manufacturing, sourcing, or operations.
- Demonstrated cross-functional teamwork and strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence without authority
