Role Overview: 

The Sourcing Strategist/Senior Buyer will assist the Senior Director of Supply Chain with sourcing and purchasing of materials, driving continuous internal procurement improvement, supplier performance, and relationship management. 

A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role: 

  • Interact with plant managers at all manufacturing facilities in the US and Canada, planning and creating purchase orders for raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect spending. 

  • Work closely at a detailed level with suppliers and manufacturing locations, monitoring inbound raw material movements, resolving day-to-day material flow deviations, and reconciling purchasing/invoicing discrepancies as they arise. 

  • Assist the Senior Director of Supply Chain in requesting and researching new suppliers, and evaluating suppliers, bids, costs, and quality. 

  • Prepare cost sheets for sales management across each of the businesses. 

What You Bring to this Role:  

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing and supply chain roles, in a manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing preferred). 

  • Experience with ERP systems and skilled in Material Management modules (MRP/Purchasing). 

  • Skills in Excel. 

  • APICS - CPIM or equivalent certification is preferred. 

  • BS in Supply Chain, Business, or similar degree required

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $102,800 - $144,020. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
