The Lead Sourcing Fulfillment Specialist is a critical member of the extended Loves Park, IL Site team and is responsible for managing delivery and supplier performance for the site. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials and components to support GE Aerospace's operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to optimize sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive fulfillment excellence. In addition, manage the order fulfillment & supplier performance process for a given set of goods, apply sourcing policy, interface with supplier to understand schedules/manufacturing status, and coordinate actions to mitigate supply disruptions and technical and quality challenges.

GE Aerospace in Loves Park, IL, focuses on the design and manufacturing of advanced aviation systems and components. This includes electrical power systems, actuation and landing gear, aerostructures, and propeller systems for both military and civil aircraft. The facility also houses a world-class pneumatics laboratory for testing high-precision components like engine pneumatic valves and starter systems.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet production and delivery requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations, negotiations, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) priorities, with safety as the top priority.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to align sourcing activities with business needs.
  • Lead initiatives to mitigate risks in the supply chain and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Drive cost reduction efforts while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the sourcing function.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in a sourcing or supply chain role)
  • Plus, a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a supply chain role

Additional Information

  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens.  GE will require proof of status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with lean principles and tools (e.g., Kaizen, Standard Work)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain management software
  • Experience with GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating system or similar lean methodologies
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations
  • Advanced certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

This position may be eligible for the following flexible work arrangements (FWA):

  • Candidates must reside locally for a hybrid work schedule (i.e. 3 days onsite at the Loves Park, IL facility and 2 days remote)

The base pay range for this position is $80,700.00 - 107,600.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.  This posting is expected to close on 08/25/2025.
