The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM NSU CARD), department of psychology, has an opening for a full-time bilingual receptionist position at their Miami Lakes office. Job duties include answering phone calls, scheduling client appointments, maintaining records, and protecting patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality. Successful candidate will demonstrate well-developed verbal communication skills, maintain a professional demeanor focused on customer service, works in an organized manner with careful attention to detail, and is able to flexibly problem-solve.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate timely access to clinical services by answering and returning phone calls, answering questions related to clinical operations (e.g., hours of operation, directions), scheduling appointments and providing clients with information and materials needed in preparation of their clinical visit.
• Ensure an organized schedule of service delivery by maintaining an appointment schedule, confirming client appointments, rescheduling clients as needed, and notifying clinician of any schedule changes or delays.
• Ensure availability of clinical information by creating client files, filing, and retrieving patient records.
• Maintain inventory of clinical materials by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, requesting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Maintains privacy of clients;
• Maintains a professional demeanor at all times with clients, parents and employees
• Participate in case conferences and staff meetings.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience required. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
- Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are required in order to serve the constituent population of our agency.
