The opportunity
The Salesforce Administrator, reporting to the Operational Service Manager, ensures the reliable operation of the Customer Relationship Management systems, coordinate upgrades and enhancements, oversees the availability and performance of the production environment across the university, and the pre-production environments. You will help improve our performance through technology consulting and management of solution design, system enhancements, and bug fixes. This position can function 100% remotely for our approved states. #LI-Remote
That you'll do:
- You will Install and test Salesforce patch upgrades and configuration change to provide a stable and reliable operational environment.
- You will manage data integrity and cleanliness within Salesforce, perform data imports/exports, maintain data security, and enforce data quality standards.
- You will maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations within Salesforce.
- You will monitor the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
- You will maintain necessary backup/restore services.
- You will collaborate with developers and operations teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- You will implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- You will support departmental staff and administration with the identification, evaluation, selection, support, and maintenance of systems solutions that work with or as a part of Salesforce.
- You will provide ongoing user support, troubleshoot issues, and offer solutions to ensure the smooth operation of the Salesforce platform.
- You will set up accounts and user permissions for assigned Salesforce users.
- You will thoroughly review release notes for vendor upgrades to identify any risks and opportunities.
- You will maintain all lower environments ensuring they are in sync with Production, periodically refreshed, secured, encrypted, and the data is masked.
- You will be on-call to manage any of the systems associated with Salesforce and including Salesforce.
- You will configure and customize Salesforce to meet our requirements, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, process builder, and validation rules.
- You will design and implement workflow automation, approval processes, and escalations to enhance business processes and efficiency.
- You will monitor, recommend, and implement technical process changes to support department priorities and operational drivers.
- You will improve administrative solutions to reduce cost-intensive maintenance and support activities.
- You will collaborate with the development team to integrate Salesforce with other applications and systems.
- You will create reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to help build data-based decision-making across the organization according to SNHU's reporting guidelines and best practices.
- You will maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Flosum, or Azure DevOps.
- You will stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to provide recommendations for improvements and new capabilities.
- You will deploy Sprint, Lean, off-cycle, and Hotfix release to production and all lower environments.
- You will maintain the code repository and the merging of new code into the repository.
