This role involves end to end Human Resources operations; the ideal candidate should be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a broad range of HR and Administrative duties. Primary responsibilities include serving as an initial point of contact for employee inquiries, issues, and employee life cycle events. This position will help push forward our positive culture building initiatives and carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, onboarding and off-boarding, policies, procedures, compliance, reporting and analytics, and HR technology.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
Perform associated talent acquisition activities, including job posting management, internal and external recruiting events, and interviews.
Manage the pre-employment process; conduct background checks and other required screenings.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Facilitate all administrative tasks for onboarding and new hire orientation, including accurate data entry into HR information systems and periodic auditing for compliance.
Maintain HR and recruiting metrics and identify any areas of opportunity.
Identify, develop, and implement employee engagement initiatives to build a positive employment experience.
Assist managers with the performance management process to maximize the achievement of business goals. Ensure that evaluations and recommendations are completed timely and within guidelines.
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action, if necessary.
Perform administrative tasks in the areas of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HRIS and legal compliance.
Direct responsibility for the knowledge, application and compliance with current labor laws, rules and regulations.
Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources, with previous manufacturing environment and 1-year high volume recruiting experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
Bi-lingual Spanish capabilities strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products to include: Word, Excel, Outlook
HRIS experience, preferably with Workday.
Time and Attendance experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
