Job Description

Step into a pivotal role as our Senior In-Country HR Advisor, where you’ll navigate the intricate HR landscape across Romania, Germany, and Poland, impacting about 700 lives.

In close collaboration with our dedicated Functional HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, and local management teams, you’ll ensure strict adherence to local labor laws, manage local Work Councils, Unions, and Labor Employee Relations, and tackle complex issues unique to local legislations.

Your expertise will empower our services team to deliver efficient local HR operations. As part of our global network of Regional HR colleagues across Europe, APAC, India, and the Americas, you’ll work under the mentorship of a Global Services HR Senior Director.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Labor Employee Relations activities to deliver the best possible outcomes for the organization while working within employment legislation, policies, and practices 

  • Manage efficiently the local Work Councils, Unions, Labor Employees relations, Labor Authorities and being accountable as a Legal representative deputy 

  • Make sure we are compliant with local labor laws where we operate   

  • Support the Functional HRBPs in the execution of various projects such as restructuring, talent reviews, performance management and organizational change   

  • Oversee implementation of HR policies as required by changing legislation or new business issues to enable the Company to proactively respond to changes while setting appropriate Company standards   

  • Enable Services Team to deliver efficiently HR operations locally    

  • Advise the local management teams and/or the HR global teams on local complex HR issues   

  • Contribute to the Geographic HR function as a member of the senior team…eg global projects etc   Continuously analyze regional People Team programs and processes and make recommendations for improvements. 

Qualifications

Desired knowledge, skills, and experience:

We are seeking an Employee Relations Expert who is accustomed to working in a global and highly matrixed business environment. The ideal candidate should have:

  • EMEA Exposure: Familiarity with the business landscape and cultural nuances across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

  • Education: A degree-level education complemented by relevant HR qualifications.

  • Employment Law Expertise: Robust working knowledge and application of employment laws, particularly Romanian laws. The candidate should be able to lead in this area.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities, including experience in business reporting and making fact-based decisions.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and influencing skills are required for interacting at all levels within the organization.

  • Cross-Cultural Competence: Proven ability to work across multiple geographies and cultures.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of both local and global HR teams.

  • Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable with change and ambiguity, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic work environment
