Sr. Manager Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

This role is in office 4 days per week

Wayfair is looking for a high energy, problem solving, entrepreneurial professional to join the Strategic Procurement team. As a Sr. Strategic Spend Manager, you will play a vital role in driving procurement strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will collaborate closely with senior executives, acting as a thought partner and advisor, to identify opportunities for process improvement, implement strategic sourcing initiatives, and deliver measurable results.

What You'll Do

• Effectively manage multiple strategic sourcing projects concurrently in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• Take the lead in major cross-functional projects aimed at driving cost efficiencies and process enhancements across various spend categories.
• Collaborate within data-driven category strategies, sourcing initiatives, and spend benchmarks spanning multiple business lines, actively contributing to shaping and challenging the business case for specific spending initiatives.
• Provide support to senior stakeholders in conducting significant vendor negotiations within your area of responsibility, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes and fostering the necessary relationships to facilitate success.
• Foster strong relationships with senior executives to identify, develop, and execute new opportunities for cost optimization across diverse spend categories. 
• Identify inefficiencies in procurement processes and work closely with the leadership of the Strategic Procurement team to initiate and implement process improvements.  

 What You'll Need:

• 4+ years of experience in leadership role within a prominent Strategic Sourcing organization, procurement management consulting firms, or similar backgrounds
• Experience managing Tech and Marketing spend categories or similar backgrounds is preferred
• Ability to thrive in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
• Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are a must.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and executive management.
• Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal.
• An interest in technology and business operations, coupled with an ability to learn quickly.
• A track record of successful negotiation and relationship management skills.
• An ability to hit the ground running and learn quickly; a confident self-starter
