Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,700.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will use a variety of data platforms, data sources, Excel and BI tools to develop and communicate meaningful business insights to various internal stakeholders including RTS Operations, Financial Planning and Executive Leadership teams.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will use a variety of data platforms, data sources, Excel and BI tools to develop and communicate meaningful business insights to various internal stakeholders including RTS Operations, Financial Planning and Executive Leadership teams.  We are looking for a hard-working and creative problem solver to join our dynamic team of analysts. 

The BI Analyst will work collaboratively with team members owning various stages of the data modeling process to iterate on and strengthen our data modeling and analytics capabilities.   Subject matter will be initially focused on Operational reporting and analysis.  A major focus of this position is the development and distribution of complex enterprise scale Excel and PowerBI reporting

Your Role:

  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting, ad hoc analysis, and dynamic self-service user dashboards with a focus on Operational and financial performance.
  • Collaborate closely with members of the RTS Operations and Engineering (Enterprise Data Warehouse) teams to develop and maintain actionable data models.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to understand user needs and capture development requirements for reporting and dashboard creation.  Working iteratively with stakeholders to improve and expand existing reporting.
  • Champion reporting quality, accuracy, usability and reliability by documenting and applying best practices in development and implementation.
  • Create useful documentation, lead hands-on training, and support general understanding and usage by internal stakeholders of dashboard reporting, ad hoc analysis, and governed data models.


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years experience; or 6 years experience in a related field
  • Requires strong knowledge of querying databases and working with large data sets.  (SQL preferred.) 
  • Requires analytics experience developing insights using Business Intelligence tools/platforms. (Power BI preferred.)
  • Requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel logical calculations. This includes pivot tables, data manipulation and dashboard creation.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate analysis findings to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Produce high-quality work that is accurate, insightful, and actionable with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work with a demonstrated focus on real business need/value.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in quantitative field, such as Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.  (Equivalent work experience will be considered with degree in unrelated field.)
