About the Role
The WATCHMAN Fellows Manager will serve as a faciliatory for physician Fellows-in-Training to provide ongoing education with the WATCHMAN therapy. This position will plan, lead, and execute Fellows training programs, from start to finish, specifically for Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion using the WATCHMAN portfolio of products. Responsibilities will include creating and executing training events and multi-channel learning for physicians in fellowship training.  Learning pathways may include e-learning, networking meetings, classroom training, virtual classrooms, webinars, hands-on training with models and devices, simulation training for procedural steps, simulation training for imaging modalities (including TEE, CT, and ICE), etc.  The WATCHMAN Fellows Manager will be responsible for monitoring process, revising, and updating content based on feedback and performance of previous efforts. The WATCHMAN Fellows Manager will foster relationships with academic institutions, program directors, fellows, and faculty. He or she will ensure regulatory and quality standards are incorporated.

 

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Manage day to day operations of training curriculum
  • Establish relationships and collaborate closely with Fellows Program Directors and Administration of Fellowship Sites
  • Develop strategies and innovation to strengthen program
  • Ability to work well and contribute effectively under pressure and in response to changing needs.
  • Propose, create, and deliver engaging learning experiences for fellows that are targeted, purposeful and increase knowledge and skills
  • Coordinate the creation of learning content (e-learning, presentations etc.…)
  • Coordinate the creation of information material (course schedules, agendas with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication and briefing of faculty, speakers and internal stakeholders for events and learning objectives
  • Responsible for planning, initiating, monitoring, tracking projects and initiatives for fellows Medical Education on WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage closure

 

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of extensive hands-on experience with WATCHMAN case support
  • Ability to set up and run simulators for WATCHMAN procedural steps and imaging
  • Proven technical proficiency and knowledge of imaging modalities used with WATCHMAN, including TEE, TTE, CT, and ICE
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience training physician implanters
  • 5+ years of experience with medical device clinical support, sales, marketing, and/or training
