ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of our Project Manager – Europe is to ensure that business projects are planned, governed, and executed efficiently and effectively. The candidate will ensure that all projects meet the company’s quality standards of project management and are achieving the company’s commercial and strategic objectives.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Act as liaison, problem solver, and facilitator
  • Manage the communication of progress to the management team as well as core internal stakeholders and escalating issues as necessary
  • Develop project documentation and reporting for the management team and other key stakeholders to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices
  • Setting up gate documents, project timing and budget with help of existing Project Management standards, methods and tools
  • Anticipating and managing risks and when necessary escalating and identifying solutions to mitigate them
  • Regular reporting of project status to management team providing a comprehensive transparent view of all projects
  • Contribute to continued improvement in the PMO with respect to standard practices, team skill development and enhanced quality of project deliveries
  • Conduct Project review practices to reflect and assess stickiness to the original business case, project timelines and budget.

    • Requirements

    The ideal candidate has exceptionally high ownership, excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment. They would also be insanely focused on demonstrating excellence in service delivery and problem-solving, breaking down complex information into understandable and actionable items.

    Other qualifications include:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree (preferably in computer science and/or engineering) or equivalent
  • At least 7 years proven working experience in leading cross functional projects, preferably in an international environment and in the mobile/web technology sector
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Experience working with Telcos or in a SaaS company managing virtual teams is a plus
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology
  • Excellent client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of both business as well as technology stakeholder requirements
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
  • Working knowledge of issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA) is a plus
  • Preferably PMI certificate or equivalent certification
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and German
  • Other advantageous languages (Spanish and Arabic)
