Summary: The Project Manager will provide professional project management services to support the development, award, and delivery of automated solutions for both existing and new customers. Acting as the primary liaison between TGWNE, clients, and third parties, this role holds direct responsibility, authority, and accountability for ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with client and TGW specifications and processes.
This position will lead project teams and drive business objectives by ensuring that contracts are executed on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications. The Project Manager will be instrumental in maintaining TGW Ltd.’s commitment to meeting customer requirements and contractual obligations. Additionally, this role will promote a greater understanding and awareness of the benefits of structured project management techniques across the business.
Before You Apply
In this role, you’ll start with an immersive 18-month training program based in Europe, visiting multiple TGW sites and gaining hands-on experience. The initial four months will be structured training abroad, followed by active involvement in pilot projects across the U.S. You will be instrumental in delivering major projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams across global locations. This position requires a high level of travel, primarily internal within TGW and customer sites.
Our ideal candidate:
• Proven experience managing large-scale, high-value projects
• A background in automation, warehousing, or logistics
• Amazon project experience (preferred)
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card
• Residency in Michigan or the East Coast
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field
• Extensive experience leading and managing large project teams
• Proven experience in a lead role on high-complexity, high-value projects
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to effectively manage relationships at all organizational levels
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Formal project management qualifications and experience with methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMI, or other structured project management frameworks
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, approximately 25%, including a 4-month training Abroad

• Background in the engineering automation industry
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee the day-to-day implementation of TGW resources to ensure project scope is delivered as specified.
• Manage commercial and technical risks associated with the project.
• Ensure project objectives are met efficiently in terms of cost, schedule, and compliance with TGW’s project, quality, and safety procedures.
• Define quality expectations and targets while serving as the primary contact for TGW quality assurance matters related to the project.
• Maintain project registers and master files to ensure accurate documentation.
• Lead the project team and own the delivery of the project management process.
• Establish project briefs, scope, deliverables, and resource structures, assigning roles and responsibilities.
• Develop an integrated project plan and workstream schedules.
• Create and maintain a project meeting schedule with clear lines of communication.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies or contingency plans.
• Address and resolve project issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to project reporting and financial control processes.
• Act as the primary customer interface, managing approvals and addressing concerns.
• Oversee and control changes to project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Report project status updates to senior management.
• Manage project resources and costs within agreed budgets and timelines.
