About the role

Committed to a high standard of safety and comply with all health and safety policies and practices

Basic understanding of inventory transactions such as stocking, picking, in-transit, inventory receipts, etc.

Reading, writing and communication skills (English)

Excellent math, logic, reasoning and troubleshooting skills

Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately

Computer skills including navigation throughout various screens and points of entry

Scanner skills including ability to sign in and perform multiple multi-step transactions 

Attention to detail essential

Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hrs

Ability to safety and efficiently operate high-level order-picker between 3 to 7 hrs per day (training provided)

Regular lifting up to 40lbs is a requirement.  Ability to lift up to 70lbs occasionally

Must be able to work overtime as required

Excellent attendance

Ability to interact effectively with coworkers

Must be a team player with a can-do attitude

 

Audit any of the inventory control reports including but not limited to; cycle counts, in-transits, lost sales, back stock audits, deleted locations, receipt exceptions, not scan-able merchandise, replenishment errors, and out of stock.

Verification and confirmation of the following, reporting any inaccuracies 

Factory Pack

Shelf Pack

UPC

Bin Capacity

Physical location designation of new products (once handling class has been established).  

Verify attributes of new products upon arrival into the facility.  Change as required.

Prepare defective merchandise for disposition which includes contacting vendors.

Communicate with vendors and buyers when a problem exists with merchandise.

Cross-train to cover other functions in the facility.

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Inbound Material Handler (Receiving and Stocking)

In bound freight is received by breaking down merchandise using a barcode scanner to ensure accuracy of receipts.  Then, inventory is stocked in specified warehouse locations utilizing the scanners and industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet riders, and reach trucks) To be considered for inbound, you must be familiar with stand up forklifts. (Reach Trucks)

 

Outbound Material Handler (Repack Orders, Full Case Orders, Shipping)

Outbound departments fill orders for customers while maintaining established quality and production standards in a voice and label picking work environment.  Shipping employees build merchandise pallets into a route sequence at customer specification, ensuring an efficient load process that maximizes space utilization.
