JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION
The Purchasing and Logistics Analyst will be responsible for material buying decisions by analyzing system data, soliciting bid proposals, and monitoring supplier rebate programs through analyzing forecast information. This role is responsible for optimizing inventory management and material logistics, while avoiding stock outs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate logistics of inbound materials with suppliers and vendors.
- Function as a liaison between various ECRS teams and vendors.
- Update replenishment information in ECRS ERP application including seasonality, average lead time, and daily demand.
- Analyze inventory turns data and provide forecasting information as needed.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to develop scrap analysis to identify items that need to be scrapped or liquidated.
- Evaluate and liquidate aging stock items.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and work for price concessions with applicable vendors on large deals.
- Review and negotiate pricing to ensure that ECRS is getting the best price possible.
- Procurement, coordination, and ownership of all dropship stock items.
- Develop necessary purchasing policies, processes, and procedures in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and purchasing team.
- Lead up when needed and improve existing purchasing polices, processes, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Prior experience in Purchasing or Inventory Management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to negotiate price, terms, and other contract items.
- Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills. Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven record of delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key metrics, manage metrics, assess, and report on ROI/results.
- Technical aptitude, business acumen (understand how to apply business methods and tools appropriately).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Foster an environment of critical thinking and continuous process improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility to meet changing needs.
- Strong understanding of timeline commitments and deliverables.
- Must be physically able to lift 20+ lbs.
