Maintenance Supervisor

Lasko Products, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for our Franklin, Tennessee facility.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the maintenance employees and outside contractors who perform maintenance work at the facility. This person will work closely with other department supervisors and managers to ensure that maintenance needs are met in a safe and timely manner by assessing requests and distributing the work fairly and consistently to the maintenance team.

This position will report to the Maintenance Manager and work Monday-Friday with some weekend work as needed.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the Maintenance team, and serve as the first point of contact for all employee needs including but not limited to employee conflict resolution, completing timesheets, approving PTO requests, employee training, ordering tools, supplies, and equipment as needed, etc.
• Perform maintenance work as needed to meet time-sensitive production demands.
• Oversee maintenance work being performed by outside contractors.
• Respond to maintenance requests throughout the plant and distribution center in a timely manner and escalate issues to management with recommended solutions.
• Ensure project deadlines are met while adhering to company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Maintenance Supervisor
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment

EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field from accredited trade school required
• Must be proactive and possess a strong sense of urgency to get the job done
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Employee coaching skills and ability to foster a positive team dynamic is a must
