Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
SanDisk’s Digital Transformation and Operations Procurement group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join the Cost, Working Capital, and Contract Management pillar. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic procurement, data analytics, supplier management, and project execution.
An intern in this group can expect to work on and gain experience in the following areas:
Cost Management:
- Support the analysis of procurement spend data to identify cost savings opportunities.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on cost reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive cost efficiency strategies.
Project Pipeline & Oversight:
- Develop and maintain project tracking tools for procurement initiatives.
- Assist in the prioritization and management of the project pipeline.
- Support regular project updates and stakeholder communications.
KPI/Dashboard Development:
- Design and develop dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement operations.
- Analyze data trends to provide insights for decision-making.
- Automate reporting processes for enhanced visibility and efficiency.
Supplier Outreach:
- Orchestrate supplier events, including developing event content, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and meeting with vendors.
- Ensure seamless execution of supplier engagements to foster collaboration and innovation.
Category Planning:
- Conduct market research to support category strategies.
- Assist in the development of category plans and sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on procurement planning activities.
Emotional Intelligence/EQ:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current students seeking a Master’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, data analytics, or a related field with a graduation date between June-September 2026.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting methodologies.
- Understanding of supply chain management concepts.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of procurement systems and contract management tools is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving project requirements.
