The Human Resources Generalist will manage multiple aspects of HR operations both administrative and tactical responsibilities. The Human Resources Generalist will provide essential support within the HR department, handling on-boarding, off-boarding, employee relations, benefits, and record management tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage orientation, on-boarding, and off-boarding for all employees.
- Maintains and modifies the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) for general personnel administration
- Administer employee benefits for current, new, and past employees including COBRA.
- Ensure compliance with ACA (Affordable Care Act) reporting and other applicable benefits laws.
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions and issues.
- Draft and manage progressive discipline letters and track performance management cycle.
- Prepare termination letters.
- Support employee’s leave of absence(s), draft and coordinate required documentation and notifications.
- Assist the HR department with level 1 investigations.
- Support with reporting and documenting worker’s compensation incidents and claims.
- Handle verification of employment and unemployment inquiries.
- Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Maintain payroll records, review payroll data, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll and address any tax-related issues.
- Reviews and processes wage garnishment orders including child support, tax levies, and other court-ordered attachments, ensuring accurate calculations and timely withholding from employee paychecks in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure the company is compliant with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO)
- Assist with recruitment efforts such as sourcing, interviewing, pre-employment screening, and preparation of offer letters.
- Performs all other duties assigned.
