Assistant Manager, Data Center Critical FacilitiesJob Summary
As an Assistant Manager of the New Data Centre FR16 Critical Facilities Team, you will supervise professional individual contributors, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities and project progression. You will take responsibilty for personnel management, customer satisfaction, project coordination, vendor management, and Equinix standard process implementation (i.e. incident / change / problem management).
Responsibilities
Management
Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors
Ensures the team is delivering on responsibilities in a timely manner and projects are progressing, as expected
Manages personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development
Assists with testing and coordinating projects and preventive/corrective maintenance
Project / Infrastructure Site Management
Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the datacenters. Develops and manages routine operational plans. Meets targets typically against a monthly plan
Provides input and guidance towards budget
Overall site capacity supervision
Customer satisfaction
Close collaboration with customers and timely resolution of customer requests
Conduct regular customer meetings
Fulfill customer reporting requirements about critical facility activities
Vendor Management
Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards
Testing
Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems
Incident / Change / Problem Management
Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incidents, changes and problem resolution
Qualifications
Proven years of related experience or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
