Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer (Combat) - Intern for the Weapons Systems Engineering Department. In this role you will contribute to design, analysis, implementation, test and integration of mission critical software. The successful candidate will have knowledge or experience in Systems Engineering of Weapons Control Systems product supporting Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) programs to meet cost and schedule. In this role you will, develop fire control, track filtering, guidance, engagement planning, and coordinate system alignment algorithms by performing design trades and simulating algorithms. Responsible for development of requirements using SysML diagrams and constructs.
Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
•Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; Physics or Mathematics.
•Basic understanding of the fundamentals of systems‑engineering testing methodologies, systems integration, testing, or systems design.
•Basic knowledge of software development and/or programming languages and version‑control, like Java, C++, MATLAB, Python, or Git.
•Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired skills
•Familiar with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools: IBM Rational Rhapsody or Cameo.
•Experience in Agile workflow (Sprint planning, Scrum meetings, JIRA).
related tools: Like IBM Doors, or Jazz.
•Basic knowledge of Unix or Linux.
