This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is Ability to Lead or Supervise and includes tasks such as: 1) Demonstrating working knowledge of the operating principles, functions, and technical orientation of aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, pneudraulic, environmental systems, subsystems, accessories, components, seats, canopies, guns, and other ordnance related items; (2) Assessing damaged aircrafts and conducting aircraft systems and subsystems troubleshooting and fault isolation; (3) Utilizing organizational computer-based business applications and inputting data to record discrepancies, create work orders, research material, order material, research product specifications, and produce documents beneficial to an aircraft production environment; (4) Applying trade techniques and practices, explaining safety precautions, and giving instructions to train journeymen and workers, for the purpose of updating and improving their knowledge, skills, techniques, methods, and procedures; and (4) Reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical-manuals to accomplish aircraft repairs and other assigned work tasks.
