Senior Accountant

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc, one of the nation’s largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant in our Irving Texas corporate office.

 

Responsibilities:

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions for multiple distribution centers.
• Performs statistical analyses to determine P&L trends, estimates, and significant changes.
• Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current branch financial position as needed.
• Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
• Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Monitors physical inventories and verifies compliance with company policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess a degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 4-5 years experience (CPA candidate preferred) and financial reporting experience. We are looking for self-starters with strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Must be proficient in Word and Excel and preferably have exposure to a building materials, manufacturing, distribution and/or consumer products company. Experience working with multiple locations is a plus.
