Key Responsibilities
- Manipulate data and data flows for existing and new systems.
- Provide support in data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes.
- Develop and maintain data mappings and models.
- Contribute to data analytics, database operations, and system maintenance.
- Work within a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment focused on continuous process improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive data and system documentation.
- Translate data insights into tools and analytic capabilities informing operational decisions.
- Apply machine learning methodologies to build predictive models.
Required Experience/Clearance
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with Java/J2EE, SQL, Python, and Shell Scripting.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
- Experience with GPU processing.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., ElasticSearch, OmniSci).
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph are required.
Desired Experience
- Experience building and maintaining data flows in NiFi or Pentaho.
- Experience with C, C++, XML, XQuery, XPath, HTML/XHTML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with data science frameworks (Keras, TensorFlow, Theano).
- Experience with search architecture.
- Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows, Linux), distributed computing, and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with database methodologies and source code management (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, RunDeck).
- Experience with data testing and quality assurance.
