Job Description

Overview of the position

Scaled Agile, Inc. is seeking a Content Developer Intern to apply what they have been learning to real-world product features. In this position you will participate in the following:

  • Work with Instructional Designers and Graphic Designers to design and develop learning content that helps the largest organizations in the world work differently to build the future.
  • Grow skills in media and content authoring tools and systems. You will primarily focus on tools and systems for media organization and copyright management, and a system for managing the reuse of learning content throughout the product lines.
  • Participate in customer research efforts to uncover better ways of supporting learners and instructors in the field
  • Work on the evolution of our learning platform to ensure learners can access the right learning at the right time
  • Design processes that focus on building quality into content creation at every stage of production
  • Learn how to thrive in an Agile organization! You will join a high-functioning Agile team of learning professionals that excels at using SAFe to teach others about SAFe.

Qualifications

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Entering the final two years of four-year degree program or recently completed a degree in Instructional Design, Instruction Technology, Library Science, English, Communications, or similar
  • Pursuing a career in learning content development and design
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Google Docs (Docs, Slides, Sheets) applications; Adobe Creative Cloud applications a plus

Logistical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in the Mountain Time Zone 
  • Have a working laptop/computer with camera accessibility 
  • Have a reliable internet connection
  • A working environment suitable for virtual meetings 

Your responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

  • Participate in agile team events such as Team Sync, Iteration Planning, PI Planning, Demos, and Retrospectives
  • Pair up with learning product developers to define standards for our content. You will also develop a system to monitor the quality of content and ideate new solutions to common quality problems.
  • Participate in workshops to define the voice and visual style of our learning content
  • Work on the design and evolution of a brand new content delivery platform. You will also participate in testing and gathering customer feedback to make iterative improvements.
  • Additional responsibilities may also be assigned.

Additional Information

Work Location:

The location of this position is flexible, but must be available to work in the Mountain Time Zone. We proudly support a collaborative remote environment for our globally distributed teammates, while also using our Boulder office as a resource. Locally based interns may have an opportunity to work occasionally onsite. 

Schedule: 

  • Monday - Friday 
  • Part-Time (up to 20 hrs/week) or Full-Time (up to 40 hrs/week) 
  • Anticipated start date of May 30, 2023 (flexible) 
  • Anticipated end date of August 11, 2023 (flexible)

Compensation:

Scaled Agile is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The target pay for this internship is $20/hr.
