Our Analyst II Capital Assets will focus on independently taking on tasks and routine assignments where their sound technical understanding of basic or routine job elements will set them up for success in performing their daily tasks.
*Internally this role is referred to as Sr Analyst Capital Assets
What you will do:
Perform assigned monthly tasks and assist others as needed.
Independently perform task oriented, routine assignments with little supervision.
In-depth understanding of accounting principles and ability to analyze and solve higher-level problems.
Proactively monitor our systems, processes, and our partners to identify triggers that require our actions or customer responses.
Process partner requests and collaborate with teammates to support our customers.
Provide periodic training to partners on our processes, policies, and systems.
Provide informal coaching and direction to departments or external parties, as appropriate for assignments, reliable and accountable for job performance.
Completes assignments and produces high quality results in an accurate and timely manner.
Understands and can communicate the business reasons and/or the “why” behind assignments and conclusions reached.
Understands the impacts of actions taken for customers.
Performs self-review to ensure balances agree to supporting documentation, schedules and formulas are mathematically accurate, variances are accurately documented, and judgments are sound and properly supported.
Gain a working level understanding of the Capitalization Policy, Capital Classifications and knowledge of Intangibles, FERC, capitalized interest (AFUDC), capitalized burdens/overheads and Contributions in Aid of Construction (CIAC) requirements to complete tasks and advise partners.
Maintains awareness of assigned tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that established time constraints are met.

Who you are:
You have:
2+ years of related experience in addition to a related university degree along with a solid understanding of Sox controls as they impact tasks and align with control requirements
Outstanding interpersonal skills, a dedication to success and are comfortable actively and respectfully challenging the status quo
You can:
Work independently on routine tasks while exhibiting excellent problem solving/critical thinking skills with a customer service orientation
Maintain a working knowledge of Regulatory and Tax requirements that are supported by our systems and processes and maintain a sound understanding of Enbridge’s legal entity, Line of Business (LOB) and Operating Unit (OU) structure.
You are:
An excellent written and verbal communicator who is clear, concise, and organized to document basis for judgements in performing assignments in addition to soliciting knowledge an information from other departments to use in daily work
Very organized to balance contending priorities and are excited to share knowledge, experience and training with all team members in a non-biased manner
Proficient with financial software’s such as Excel and accounting and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
