PURPOSE

The Continuous Improvement & Credentialing Coordinator manages functions under the direction of the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Excellence related to continuous improvement reviews, accreditation, the university’s strategic plan, faculty data & evaluations, and the promotion and tenure process. This position drafts continuous improvement review reports, assists with compiling documentation for SACSCOC accreditation efforts, and maintains various databases with faculty credentials and appointments. The position develops, provides, and continually improves processes and tools for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data across the university.

DESCRIPTION

Functional Area 1: Continuous Improvement & Accreditation

Percent Effort: 50%

  • Under direction from the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Excellence (AVPIE), assists with assessment and continuous improvement processes, reviews, and activities.
  • Assists in drafting Continuous Improvement Review reports to provide feedback to programs and departments.
  • Assists with SACSCOC accreditation processes and activities, including the 5 and 10-year compliance certification reports.
  • Under direction from the AVPIE, coordinates implementation and monitors effectiveness of the university’s strategic plan.

Functional Area 2: Faculty Records & Credentialing

Percent Effort: 30%

  • Serves as liaison with colleges and departments, institutional research, and other units to ensure faculty data is accurate in reporting systems.
  • In coordination with the AVPIE, provides oversight of the faculty credentialing process, including obtaining official transcripts, ensuring forms are completed, entering data in the reporting system, and verifying for accuracy.
  • Ensures all faculty data in reporting system is accurate including rank, percent effort, hire/termination dates, and promotion and tenure dates.
  • Reviews and prepares credentialing packets for accurate documentation and official transcripts prior to submission to Associate Provost.
  • Manages the submission, routing and approval processes involved with the faculty activity reporting system (e.g., Interfolio), including the dossier templates used within that system, as well as providing staff support and troubleshooting any problems or issues in the system.
  • Assists in the coordination of faculty evaluation processes as needed by Academic Affairs. This may include coordinating, developing, implementing, and continually improving processes related to the evaluation of faculty in annual evaluation, promotion review, and tenure review.

Functional Area 3: Data Management

Percent Effort: 20%

  • Maintain all official documents in the faculty personnel file including notice of appointments, official transcripts, credentialing documentation, annual review, and promotion and tenure documentation.
  • Assists with administration of the Weave assessment reporting system.
  • Maintains copies of all Continuous Improvement Review reports and verifies follow-up as directed by the AVPIE.
  • Assists with generation of IPEDS, cohort roster, SACSCOC faculty roster, and faculty workload reports as needed.
  • Ensures faculty data in Workday, including tenure status, is accurate and up to date.
  • Verifies data across all reporting syste
