Specialist- Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement)

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this role will support the manufacturing/quality systems through growing capacity, with a focus on driving LEAN & Six Sigma principles, such as kaizen, root cause analysis, Scrum methodology, procedures, training, risk assessments, and data analytics. They will apply process, operational, scientific expertise, basic compliance knowledge, and analytical and troubleshooting skills to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Owning the development and implementation of comprehensive continuous improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Find opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings within the manufacturing environment.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and techniques to analyze processes, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Drive projects to improve quality, efficiency, and cycle times while reducing defects and variation.
  • Form and lead cross-functional teams to implement improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Experience in crafting visual representations of data using tools like Tableau, Smartsheet, Spotfire reports, charts and graphs to optimally communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with various departments including operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to employees at all levels on Lean Six Sigma concepts, methodologies, and tools.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting awareness and engagement among team members.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency of improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular analysis and reporting on project progress, performance metrics, and return on investment.
  • Effectively manage change by facilitating communication, addressing resistance, and promoting acceptance of new processes and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to operational excellence and quality management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years in Manufacturing, Packaging or Quality experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology companies

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years in Manufacturing, Packaging or Quality experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology companies

Or

Associate’s degree and 8 years in Manufacturing, Packaging or Quality experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology companies

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years in Manufacturing, Packaging or Quality experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology companies
