Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Description

The Facilities Maintenance Team is responsible for the general repair activities of assigned casino locations to ensure a sound, safe operational, clean, and appealing environment for employees and guests in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Process and prioritize work orders assigned
• Communicate with Facilities Manager on coordination and follow up with state agencies to ensure compliance with state agency code, fixing and violations found
• Order and/or purchase equipment and supplies needed for repairs
• Keep kitchen appliances operations to continue food service operations
• Assist casino staff in maintaining their facilities as requested
• Performs other job duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1 year experience preferred

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Knowledge and experience at application and usage of hand and power tools
• Knowledgeable in hazardous material standards
• Ability to interface effectively with the guests and colleagues
• Ability to speak, read and write English

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment. Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel, lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more. Employee frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold). Must be 18 years of age or older.
