<p>Senior Commercial Controller</p> <p> </p> <p>As a Senior Commercial Controller, you will be at the forefront of ensuring effective decision-making, driving sustainable and profitable top-line growth, and optimizing cost efficiency for Alken-Maes. You will have a leading role in the development of strategic, commercial, and annual plans while overseeing a team of 3 analysts and controllers. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be instrumental in providing and discussing financial results with stakeholders, making accurate rolling forecasts, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.</p> <p> </p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p> </p> <p>Strategic Business Partnership:</p> <ul> <li>Be a challenging and convincing business partner, facilitating the decision-making process.</li> <li>Maximize business performance, adding value through proactive identification of new business opportunities and cost savings.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Planning and Control:</p> <ul> <li>Develop, challenge and implement adequate (strategic) financial plans within a dynamic, commercial environment.</li> <li>Define and implement reporting KPIs to enhance decision-making and monitor costs effectively.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Team Leadership:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and inspire a team of 3 analysts and controllers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.</li> <li>Drive annual competence development plans to enhance team capabilities.</li> <li>Achieve positive results in the annual Climate Survey, reflecting a healthy and engaging work environment.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Reporting and Analysis:</p> <ul> <li>Provide stakeholders with insightful and accurate financial reporting and ad hoc analyses.</li> <li>Lead and develop (strategic) business cases in order to make the best value-based decisions. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Process Improvement:</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the structural improvement of processes, procedures, and systems.</li> <li>Actively participate in initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>YOUR PROFILE</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field</li> <li>Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience, ideally within the FMCG industry</li> <li>Deep understanding of business processes</li> <li>Strong financial business acumen and analytical skills</li> <li>Effective leadership and team management abilities</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>SIXPACK OF ADVANTAGES</p> <p> </p> <ol> <li>At Alken-Maes we all share the same ambition.
