Who We WantAs a senior software engineer in the EDI Integrations space, you will leverage your skills and experience to not only strengthen our existing tech suite, but also to dream up and build new features that will take it to the next level. This position will work with stakeholders and a wide variety of technology teams to analyze, build, and implement code that is impactful to our teams and our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Architecting, building, analyzing, developing, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining software.
• Collaborating with the product, data science, quality assurance and product teams to meet the needs of stakeholders and deliver best-in-class products.
• Collaborating with engineers outside your team through guilds, hackweeks, pull requests, design sessions, and tech reviews to broaden your knowledge, relationships, and impact.
• Leading, mentoring and holding your team accountable for delivering results.
• Leading projects from design to completion, including delegation and documentation.
• Helping Product define your team’s roadmap– have strong opinions loosely held!
• Maturing our testing strategy, enabling us to deploy code without fear.
• Setting a strong example of healthy engineering team culture, evangelizing the team’s principles and mentoring team members in how to apply them.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or other closely related experience.
• 2+ years of mentoring and collaborating experience.
• Is willing to be a leader, engaging often with their team, other senior engineers, and leadership to guide best practices.
• Aptitude for mentoring other engineers.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills– eagerness to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information, and collaborate on findings with others. 
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Loosely held, strong opinions about how software should be built.
• UI development experience using modern libraries like React.
• .NET and RESTful API design experience.
• SQL and relational database architecture experience.
• Commitment to test coverage as a core principle.
• Experience with third-party data integrations.
• Microservice/Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a plus.
• Experience working in the freight industry is a plus.
• Comfortable working both hyper-collaboratively and independently.
