The QAQI Director is responsible for the development and oversight of the Pride in North Carolina, LLC quality improvement plan and annual report and client rights assurance. The QAQI Director participates as a member of the Pride in North Carolina, LLC. Leadership Team, the primary decision-making body of the company and works closely with the other members of the Leadership Team to provide guidance and assistance in areas related to quality improvement and to ensure agency compliance with national accreditation standards
Quality Improvement:
Develops and coordinates the implementation of a quality improvement/quality assurance plan to promote an agency culture of improvement and quality care at all levels of the organization.
Coordinates and leads quality improvement activities including the development and tracking of consumer outcomes, review of adverse events, and overall agency performance/quality of care.
Maintains documentation of meetings and QA activities. Distributes required documentation to local and state agencies. Compiles information into an annual report.
Develops and implements a systematic process for conducting consumer and employee satisfaction surveys. Compiles information from satisfaction surveys into usable format to institute change.
Coordinates, plans, and oversees process for achieving and maintaining national accreditation.
Assists with administering program policies and procedures to ensure staff credentialing and supervision are consistently carried out, services are effectively monitored, and best practice guidelines are adhered to.
Stays abreast of North Carolina requirements and expectations related to the tracking of consumer outcomes. Reviews available outcomes data and compiles required reports.
Stays abreast of new services and requirements. Provides assistance to regions in instituting new services.
Schedules and coordinates quality record reviews. Compiles and distributes results and institutes measures for addressing any problem areas.
Monitors results from reviews and audits to determine any needed areas of improvement or systemic changes.
Assists with information management system implementation, training, trouble-shooting, and data reviews.
Stays abreast of documentation, staff qualification, and training requirements outlined in national accreditation standards as well as additional requirements mandated by the state of North Carolina for each service provided.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Oversee and monitor the fidelity of evidence-based practices utilized by the agency.
Is knowledgeable about medical necessity and service definition requirements to ensure that clients receive appropriate clinical treatment.
Ensures the QAQI department staff stay up to date on all service requirements.
Consumer Outreach and Rights Protection:
Stays abreast of all rules and requirements pertaining to consumer rights and monitors related policies and forms as needed for revisions.
Serves as Chair for the Human Rights and Intervention Advisory Committee. Ensures committee meets all requirements and regulations. Maintains all required documentation.
Ensures that persons served are aware of and follow grievance and appeal process. Reviews and addresses consumer grievances as appropriate. Maintains documentation of grievances.
Reviews Critical Incidents and other adverse events to ensure and promote consumer safety. Provides suggestions for improvement.
Serves as liaison within the community, with other agencies, and interested groups to establish direct referral networks. Develops collaborative relationships with payers through involvement in QM initiatives.
Maintains and models professionalism at all times and abides by all aspects of the Employee Code of Conduct.
