This operational entity of ENGIE has the ambition to be a key enabler of the transition towards carbon-neutral economy!</p> <p>In the Business Development team of FlexGen Europe we are currently looking for a </p> <p> </p> <p>Senior Battery Business Developer (m/f/d) </p> <p> </p> <p>Location: Berlin</p> <p>Reference number: 28181</p> <p> <br/> As Senior Battery Business Developer you will be responsible for the development of large-scale battery storage systems in Germany for ENGIE FlexGen Europe with expected total investment costs of approx. 1.6 billion €, from the development phase to the investment decision and preparation of the implementation phase. Their focus will be on large-scale projects with investment costs of €1+ billion each.<br/>  </p> <p>ACT NOW! – these are your tasks:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Developing new business opportunities, both through organic growth and mergers &amp; acquisitions (M&amp;A)</li> <li>Managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the projects reach the final investment decision</li> <li>Building and managing a functional team for the battery energy storage system projects, based in both Germany and Belgium</li> <li>Management of projects already under development, including project control (budget, planning, risk), design, procurement (with procurement support), grid connection and approvals</li> <li>Ethics, health and safety as well as governance round off the responsibilities: Ensure that project development activities comply with all ENGIE standards and procedures, ensuring a smooth handover of each project to the implementation team</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Your profile – what you should bring to the table:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Completed university degree in energy economics, engineering, natural sciences or a comparable course of study</li> <li>Many years of professional experience, preferably in the power generation industry, with knowledge of BESS, the energy sector, the German legal framework, grid connection and/or the green H2 industry</li> <li>Familiarity with the German power market, business plans, project management/business development, permitting, grid connection procedures and/or safety studies as well as experience in negotiating EPC contracts </li> <li>Knowledge of MS Office packages</li> <li>Strong team and interpersonal skills, negotiation and communication skills as well as an independent and solution-oriented way of working</li> <li>Fluency in German and English (C1 level), knowledge of Dutch or French is an advantage</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>We live diversity</p> <p> </p> <p>ENGIE Deutschland has many faces.
