Database Administrator

As a SQL Server Database Administrator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our database infrastructure. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your expertise in SQL Server, automation, and cloud technologies to support enterprise-scale systems and drive operational excellence.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments in alignment with best practices and internal standards.

• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

• Implement and enforce robust security controls, including access management, encryption, and auditing.

• Prioritize and implement automated solutions over manual processes to improve consistency and reduce operational risk.

• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to design scalable, high-performance database solutions.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.

• Support deployment activities and provide production support, including incident response and root cause analysis.

• Drive automation initiatives using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other tools to streamline routine administration tasks.

• Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, security policies, and audit readiness.

What You Will Likely Bring:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA and/or Developer in enterprise environments.

• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL, including complex query development and performance tuning.

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and administrative task optimization.

• Familiarity with SQL Server architecture, internals, and high availability solutions such as AlwaysOn, clustering, and replication.

• Solid understanding of database security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

What Could Set You Apart:

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python.

• Exposure to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.

• Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS).

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and support production incident management.
