About the role

Assistant Vice President, Finance – Chubb Commercial Insurance

This is a diverse accounting and finance leadership position within Chubb Commercial Insurance (CI), with responsibility for planning, forecasting and reporting.  The Assistant Vice President, Finance will partner with leaders across CI to drive results and ensure delivery of our business objectives.

  • Identifying process/data issues and driving remediation
  • Exhibiting a genuine willingness and desire to continuously build on insurance and product knowledge, and incorporating this into developing team members

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and finance leaders to produce weekly production forecasts and monthly P&L forecasts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and YTD production, KPI and P&L analysis
  • Prepare quarterly results presentations and work with CI leadership to prepare them for meetings with executive management
  • Partner with operations, IT and corporate finance to resolve process/system/data issues that are uncovered through results analysis
  • Key contributor in the development of the strategic plan and annual plan, including working with CI leadership to develop granular planning metrics that enable more effective management of the business
  • Work with corporate finance to ensure timely submissions of deliverables, and respond to questions that arise in the consolidated review of results

Qualifications:

  • Four year degree in Business with an Accounting/Finance major (preferred)
  • 10+ years relevant experience –with a large public company in an accounting or financial analysis role or large or Big 4 firm in an auditing role
  • Understanding of insurance accounting and insurance concepts (preferred)
  • Demonstrated commitment to results and execution
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with non-finance business leaders throughout the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Expert knowledge of Excel
