Job Description

To coordinate and plan the operations of all factory repair work. Including detailed planning of materials and labor to provide efficient, cost effective, and timely repairs/services, of customer owned equipment.

  1. Plans daily activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Transducer, factory service/repair departments.
  2. In coordination with area Supervisors and Operations Managers, creates, sets priority, and assigns, work orders for factory repair jobs. Monitors schedule performance and adjusts dates on production orders to match capacity. Develops and implements Corrective Actions.
  3. Drive improvements and monitor processes and procedures ensuring high quality of the area product/service, efficient operation, and compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and corporate policies.
  4. Coordinates repair orders & activities to ensure delivery of factory repair orders. Utilize Salesforce and SAP to perform the following tasks:
    • Create Return Deliveries
    • Create Service Orders
    • Create Order Reservations
    • Create Purchase Orders to outside vendors, as required.
    • Create Production Orders
    • Stage parts required for service/repair orders.
    • TECO production orders and service orders.
    • Create and stage orders for delivery to customers.
  5. Partners cross-functionally with area Planners, Supervisors, and Operation Managers, to ensure timely delivery of service parts while minimizing disruptions to other factory production orders. 
  6. Establishes priorities for service orders and communicates order status to stakeholders through Salesforce, email, and in-person communication.
  7. Assures the service product meets all applicable quality requirements (i.e., engineering, project specific, product and industry standards).
  8. Monitors actual costs against estimated costs and directs corrective action as required. Actively directs development and implementation of product, system, and project cost, improvements.
  9. Establishes and applies performance metrics. Identifies opportunities for process and quality improvement. Evaluates employee performance and opportunities for improvement. Develops and implements solutions to process, quality, and employee improvement, opportunities.
  10. Monitors demand for area services and advise on staffing levels to meet requirements using available methods including internal resources, contract agencies, and direct hiring.
  11. Actively participate in factory planning, work closely with other area Planners, and act as a back-up when necessary.
  12. Ensures MRP information in SAP is maintained, including but not limited to the following. 
    • Scheduled dates are correct and current.
    • BOM reflects latest changes. 
    • Manual dates usage reflects planning policy. ​​​​​​
  13. Monitors and fully utilizes labor capacity. 
    • Notifies work group Supervisor or Operations Manager in advance when future demand does not align with capacity and schedules cannot be adapted to accommodate the difference.
    • Assists in balancing labor demand among different groups when needed. 
  14. Monitors part availability and expedites when necessary to meet production schedules.
  15. Perform other job duties & functions as required.

  1. High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years applicable experience to include minimum of 1-year prior planning/scheduling experience.
