About the role

The Cigna Group Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) is a three year long rotational development program that provides early-career candidates the opportunity to be directly involved with the ongoing operations of a dynamic health care industry leader. OLDP Associates build their experience and knowledge through assignments that accelerate their ability to grow functional skills and leadership competencies. These concentrated, rotational experiences prepare associates for increasing levels of scope and responsibility on their journey to become Enterprise Leaders with an operational mindset. The ideal candidate is someone who has a desire to help others and a passion for operational expertise.

What you’ll do:

OLDP Associates fill a variety of positions throughout the organization, all of which allow you to make an impact on operations and gain critical career experience as an individual contributor or people manager.

  • Individual Contributors: typically involve leading projects or supporting ongoing business process operations aimed at enhancing operational activities through strategizing new approaches or seeking efficiencies.

  • People Management: typically involve directly managing the day-to-day operations of a team, including setting priorities, managing goals, hiring, onboarding, and staff development.

As an associate in the program, you will also be able to participate in the following opportunities:

  • New Hire Onboarding & Learning Series: new associates are provided an initial onboarding and a learning series throughout their first year that includes an introduction to the industry, company structure, and Operations leaders. This enables associates to begin developing skills such as business acumen, effective communication, conflict resolution, and data analysis.

  • OLDP Offsite: program associates will be invited to attend an offsite to connect and network with other OLDP associates and Operations leaders as well as participate in training and development opportunities.

  • OLDP Workgroup Involvement: Participate and take on a leadership role in a workgroup with other OLDP associates to support program activities such as recruitment, DEI, learning & development, and branding.

  • Mentorship Programming: A formal mentorship program with business leaders to support continuous development throughout the program.
