Job Overview:
Peachtree Detox is a private, 22 bed, inpatient drug and alcohol detox located in Fayetteville, GA. We offer medically managed withdrawal for those suffering with substance abuse disorders.
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to oversee medical operations. As the Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading and ensuring high standards of medical care for patients undergoing detoxification from substance use disorders. This is a pivotal role that requires a strong understanding of addiction medicine, excellent leadership, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations and daily assessments of patients undergoing detox.
- Provide medical oversight for the detox program and ensure the safety and efficacy of treatment plans.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
- Oversee nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical support staff.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in addiction medicine.
- Provide consultation for complex cases and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
- Expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with facility’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Medical Doctor with a valid unencumbered license to practice medicine in the State of GA in good standing.
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine, Psychiatrist, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in addiction treatment, preferably in a detox or inpatient setting.
- Strong understanding of withdrawal protocols for alcohol, opioids, and other substances.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Passion for helping individuals with substance use disorders.
