Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary:

Looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the Lumberton Quality Department as a Quality Technician. Candidates must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift from 7pm to 7am (including every other weekend). The benefit of this schedule is less work days per year and some weekdays off.

Qualifications

The main responsibility of this position will be to improve quality performance by working directly with the operators, packers, and all other support departments that impact quality.

 

Activities include but are not limited to:

• Start-up and inspection
• Certificate of Analysis
• Maintenance of quality retains, documentation, and traceability
• Standards for customers
• Maintenance of existing Quality Management System
• Oversee rework and hand-capping processes
• Follow the nonconforming material process for incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished components

 

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

• High school degree required.
• One year experience in a manufacturing (quality related), pharmaceutical, or quality position preferred.
• Knowledge of working with calipers and other measuring devices preferred.
• Must be able to follow established company GMPs, hygiene, and safety policies.
• Must be able to work extensive hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as per assigned schedule
• Must be proficient in data entry, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
• Must exhibit attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
