The Role at a Glance
Lincoln National Corporation seeks a Sr. Analyst, Application Development in Charlotte, NC to maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for In Force External Experience department, assesse the impact, and collaborate with Scrum Team and Leadership to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives for the In Force External Experience department. Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge for the In Force External Experience department. Support cutting edge/Agile Application Development team. Focuses heavily on delivering web-based, self-service capability solutions. Manage full lifecycle of web application development; from designing, building, testing, deploying, to monitoring. Provides input to appropriate project team members/internal stakeholders regarding project plans, test plans and implementation plans. Investigates and resolves problems including providing support for production systems in a timely manner. Ensure correctness of all the system enhancements implemented. Participate and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influence and support change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives in compliance with all the state and federal regulations and guidelines. Manage full lifecycle of web application development; from designing, building, testing, deploying, to monitoring. Champion lean-Agile, DevOps principles and practices (e.g. CI/CD; you build it, you own it), and independent architecture, while supporting a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Performs technical tasks including estimating, analysis, technical requirements, design, construction and unit & integration testing following SDLC. Develop innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support ensuring all the system/software development life cycle processes are met. Construct and implement software within a full stack environment (Front end, API, persistence, integrations) using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular15+, java, springboot and Amazon web services. Proficient in tools like Gitlab, SonarQube, Splunk, Confluence, to drive operations and collaboration. Gain deep understanding of existing application and overall system landscape becoming subject matter expert. Leverage this expertise to provide insights and guide decision-making. Participate in peer and code reviews ensuring adherence to processes and standards. Mentor junior team members providing guidance on analysis and offering subject matter and technical expertise on applications to help onboard and support new team members.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related IT field, and 5 yrs experience in application development that develop innovative complex business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post-production support. Experience must include:
• 5 yrs AWS cloud technology Lambda, EC2, CloudFormation, and Step Functions, APIG;
• 5 yrs constructing and implementing software within a full stack environment (Front end, API, persistence, integrations) by using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular 2+ to build a modern frontend & leveraging Java, Spring Boot, nodeJS in building a reliable backend;
• 5 yrs microservice design (Service-Oriented Architecture) and RESTful web services;
• 5 yrs API integration and management tools Mule ESB, the Anypoint Platform and API gateways;
• 5 yrs continuous Integration/Delivery and DevOps;
• 5 yrs developing data movement and engineering applications;
• 5 yrs working on integrating disparate systems using ETL following SDLC and/or Agile methodologies; writing Unix/Linux or Windows Scripts in tools Python, PERL, Shell script
• 5 yrs using tools: Gitlab, SonarQube, Splunk, Confluence, to drive operations and collaboration.
