What We Are Looking For:

Aspida Re Services, are looking to fill the position of Associate Actuary. This role will be an integral part of the team, with responsibility for assisting with reserving, and modeling of products. The ideal candidate for this role will exemplify grace under pressure, ask questions to understand while also challenging the status quo to produce the best possible product, and thrive on pushing the envelope while understanding failure is an opportunity to learn. This position is required to be onsite at our Bermuda office and will report to the Chief Actuary.

What You Will Do:

· Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and execution of financial reporting models and reports, as well as supporting reconciliation of results.

· Contribute to regulatory filings and assist in creating management, finance, and risk reports.

· Support the development and enhancement of actuarial models for existing and new treaties.

· Participate in experience studies and contribute to the development and refinement of actuarial assumptions.

· Monitor and evaluate assumptions to ensure they align with current and emerging experience trends.

· Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

· Identify and implement opportunities to streamline valuation processes, enhance efficiency and strengthen model governance practices.

· Prioritize and complete ad hoc and special projects assigned on a timely basis.

· Collaborate effectively with pricing and risk management teams to ensure alignment across actuarial functions.

· Participate in the actuarial student program with goal of achieving Fellowship

· Proven track record of completing actuarial exams and progress towards an Associate designation in the Society of Actuaries or equivalent actuarial organization with at least 4 or more actuarial exams completed.
