Your role at Sephora:
As a Senior Merchandise Planner, you will manage Brand Planning for both pre-season and in season timeframes to ensure in stock targets are met. Reporting to the VP Inventory Planning, Skincare & Hair, you will be the financial partner with the Merchant to grow and drive business.  In addition, you will: 

 

• Create pre-season Brand Budget Plans partnering with Merchandise Planners/Directors, Merchants, and Vendors
• Own monthly in season OTB forecast of sales and margin within budgeted goals.  Conduct and lead monthly cross-functional OTB meetings 
• Analyze and partner with Retail Merchants to manage opportunities and risks
• Develop sales plans and validate inventory needs for Animations, Promotions, and Sale events
• Own newness/launch forecasts and buys to support all merchandising and promo strategies 
• Conduct Newness hindsight and key initiatives analysis on a quarterly basis 
• Develop New Brand strategies, projected sales, inventory needs for launch timeframe
• Report updated business trends and stock continuity weekly
• Partner with Demand Planner to align on SKU forecasts
• Partner and guide Merchandise Planning Assistant to prioritize newness orders, elevate and communicate delays in key launches
• Manage, coach and develop Merchandise Planner to meet their deliverables.
• Additional cross-world projects as required

• Minimum 5 years Planning experience
• Excellent technical skills – MS Office (specifically Excel, Word)
• Contributes new ideas and finds solutions to business challenges in merchandising, operations and finance
• Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions
• Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational and task management skills
• Clear and concise written, verbal, and presentation skills
