EXTRACURRICULAR

JOB TITLE: FFA Sponsor; Grades 9-12

EMPLOYMENT LOCATION: Grafton High School

STIPEND: $1,200 

FUNDING SOURCE:  Grant

EFFECTIVE DATE: UPON BOARD APPROVAL

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Agriculture Education Instructor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The advisor supports the chapter, but also allows the students to take the lead or actively participate in organizational activities whenever possible.

  1. Serve as liaison between the CTE center and the West Virginia state, and National levels of the FFA
  2. Serve as a site representative for dissemination of information from West Virginia state, and National levels of the FFA Coordinate and schedule activities
  3. Schedule meetings
  4. Supervise and chaperone activities
  5. Supervise election of officers
  6. Supervise fundraising activities
  7. Supervise transportation arrangements and activities performed throughout the school year
  8. Organize and run building advisor meetings, plus oversee smaller advisor committees for events such as fundraising, community service, competition, etc.
  9. Train the FFA officers in basic leadership skills after their successful election
  10. Assist students to plan and conduct chapter meetings, develop a program of activities
  11. Travel with students to competitions and activities when requested
