The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The student "Program Support Assistant" will provide general administrative support to the FOCUS Programs, which are part of Early Childhood Home and Family Services Division at the Center for Development and Disability. Preference will be availability for 20 hours per week. Work is off campus at CDD office. Work hours are scheduled during regular business hours M-F 8am-5pm. Student must have reliable transportation.
The FOCUS Program provides integrated, comprehensive medical care for families impacted by substance use, home-based early intervention, and Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and trauma-informed assessment and treatment services. Students will collaborate with other administrative staff to support the day-to-day operations within the Specialized Early Childhood Unit.
The student Program Support Assistant will be part of an administrative team, supporting direct service staff, clinicians, and managers.
Specific duties will include:
· Filing client records
· Data entry
· Create client files
· Organize supplies and materials
· Create intake/informational packets
· Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

- Interpersonal skills for engagement with clinical, administrative, and direct service staff.
- Knowledge and skills with technology and software, including proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel and databases applications.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Experience in customer service-focused positions.
- Experience with confidential material, HIPPA rules and regulations.
