Our company's Research Lab’s Scientific Automation Engineering (SAE) group within the Pharmacokinetic, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) department is seeking summer interns. The SAE group is focusing on providing insights to Clinical Assay Scientists to optimize efforts within science and automation.
Learning opportunities for the prospective intern are:
Involvement in the development and execution of machine learning methods to provide insights.
Evaluation of multiple machine learning and AI models to prove their associated efficacy.
Explore laboratory automation processes within a major pharmaceutical and identify bottlenecks or shortcomings in current processes through data.
Implementing the full data science process, including data retrieval, pre-processing, data exploration, and model selection.
The intern will have the opportunity to be engaged in scientific discussion and interpretation of data. The intern student will have an opportunity to present their models results in both oral and written formats.
We are seeking intern candidates at all levels with strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi- functional environment.
Location: Spring House, PA
This is a full-time internship position. Housing subsidy is not available as part of this program and must be funded 100% by the student.
Required Education:
Candidates must be a currently enrolled undergraduate junior or senior student pursuing a bachelor’s degree OR a currently enrolled graduate student pursuing a master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field.
Required Experience and Skills:
Python, SQL Programming experience
Machine Learning modeling, training, and tuning experience (Unsupervised / Supervised)
Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2025.
Candidates must have completed at least (3) years of studies toward bachelor’s degree by June 2025.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Artificial Intelligence modeling, training, and tuning experience.
Basic knowledge in cell and molecular biology and chemistry.
Experience with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Interest in automation
Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00
