PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Digital Experience Product Manager provides direction and guidance to business partners to enable the best information technology (IT) solutions that meet the business needs. The position bridges the gap between business partners and technology solution providers. This is a hands-on leadership position with key accountabilities for gaining both local and global consensus when enabling technology to advance our eCommerce capabilities. This person will be asked to understanding business needs and translate those needs into high-level design plans. This associate will be involved in strategy and governance to make strategic technical decisions that balance appropriate tradeoffs between cost, predictability, product functionality, user goals, time to market, process efficiency and above all, business values.
This is a remote position, with expected travel of around 25%
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
Business Partner Management
- Acts as a Business Partner (BP), collaborating with business stakeholders to develop long-term and short-term strategic roadmaps for the Digital Product Line.
- Articulates product and resource needs to support the capability strategy and product(s) roadmaps.
- Manages the digital product line budget effectively, making informed decisions regarding investment prioritization.
- Works with stakeholders to continually optimize the governance and decision-making processes within the digital product line.
Digital Product Technology Management
- Coordinates with the business and IT architecture team to ensure alignment of digital products and IT services.
- Oversees the operations of the digital product line and leads continuous improvement efforts to enhance business outcomes.
- Collaborates with other digital product line leaders to prevent duplication and identify interdependencies.
- Manages vendor relationships pertinent to the digital product line, ensuring alignment of vendor products and services with the enterprise strategy.
- Helps to incorporate digital possibilities into the business strategy, including the company’s product and channel strategies.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders to transfer technology prototypes led by the business to the IT digital product line for expansion, when possible.
- Stays abreast of digital product trends to enhance digital product line outcomes.
- Gain comprehensive understanding of industry trends and standards to implement the ongoing improvement of processes, tools, and methods.
- Establish value management, measure, and interpret results as a strategic organizational capability.
- Advocate as a champion of change for your partners' strategic plans.
- Develop deep domain knowledge of your partner's organizational functions.
People Management
- Collaborates performance management (objectives & target setting) with IT function and talent leaders for shared services/cross functional resources.
- Competencies in areas such as influencing, teamwork, communication, and learning agility, allowing associates to switch rapidly between tasks, work closely with business partners, and contribute fully to business outcomes.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, IS, or relevant work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in project/process management, preferably within a digital product environment.
• 5+ years of professional experience in IT service delivery, with a focus on digital products.
• 4+ years of experience with modern front-end technologies (preferably React.JS)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including C-level executives and business leaders.
• Strong business acumen, with a clear understanding of key financial drivers related to growth and an organization’s revenue goals.
• Ability to develop and deliver long-term strategy and technology roadmaps.
