What this job can offer you

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space by joining our growing Legal Team. You will get exposure to a wide range of subjects with mentorship from the more senior legal team members as the Legal team works with all internal stakeholder across all products and services.

Job Responsibilities

• Advise on a range of queries that arise in relation to our employer of record product, liaising with the employees themselves where required
• Advise on a range of queries that arise in relation to our other products such as the contractor product, global payroll, HRIS
• Helping us to develop excellent template contracts and knowledge resources and supporting different internal stakeholders such as Sales team, Customer care, and other operational teams at Remote
• Helping with strategic thinking around our business model and future opportunities
• Review contracts and other formal documents in relation to our international expansion
• Liaise with Local Counsel when the matters need to be escalated to our external lawyers, support contract negotiations with clients and advising other teams on legal matters

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is between $40,000 USD to $135,000 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
