Student Worker (Institute for Cybersecurity IT)

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic problems or escalate to senior IT staff as necessary
• Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of computers and other IT equipment
• Assist with the installation and configuration of software applications on computers and other devices
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches for software and operating systems
• Maintain accurate records of configurations, patches, and any other change management notation
• Assist in tracking IT equipment and supplies, and help manage inventory levels

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field)
• Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative work environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willing to spend time learning new systems as needed in order to successfully complete tasks
