Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced System Administrator to join our team.  As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting the IT Support team with tier 2 and tier 3 ticket resolution, developing scalable solutions to facilitate tasks for the IT Support team, and helping to maintaining our on-premise datacenter infrastructure with a focus on security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while minimizing impact to user workflows. You will work closely with other IT professionals, developers, and project managers to ensure that the enterprise systems meet the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the IT Support team to resolve tier 2 and tier 3 tickets that get escalated
2. Provide training to the IT Support team to resolve tier 1 and tier 2 tickets.
3. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users
4. Develop and implement solutions that will help the IT Support team manage systems on an enterprise level
5. Help maintain the organization's datacenter infrastructure
6. Implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and reliability of the IT infrastructure
7. Manage and maintain our virtualization platforms
8. Manage and maintain various server operating systems
9. Assist in debugging network infrastructure in conjunction with our Network Administration team
10. Manage and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
11. Develop and implement automation solutions using scripting languages to maximize efficiency and minimize errors
12. Develop and maintain system documentation and configuration information
13. Assist with inventory management and disposal of IT assets as needed

Qualifications

Required Skills

1. Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Informatics, Computer Information Technology, or related field
2. 3+ years of experience in system administration or a related field
3. Hands on experience with debugging operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
4. Experience working in virtualization platforms, including VMware and XenServer
5. Strong foundation in networking, including familiarity with enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, and gateways
6. Solid understanding of storage infrastructure, including iSCSI and SAN/NAS devices
7. Expertise in backup and disaster recovery solutions
8. Familiarity with scripting languages, including Bash, PowerShell, Perl, and Python
9. Expertise in unattended installers
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
12. Possess a current or willing to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification

1. Excellent customer service skills
2. Experience with system architecture and power distribution
3. Experience with Dell storage product lines
4. Experience with Apache web servers
5. Experience with Splunk
6. Experience with managing Flexnet licensing systems or equivalent
7. Experience in risk management frameworks, cybersecurity, and encryption algorithms
8. Experience with policy and procedure documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
9. Experience with CMMC and NIST publications, including NIST 800-171

Additional Information

Compensation: Base pay range is $85,000 - $120,000 depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
