Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist to join our HR team. The ideal candidate is a HR professional who has an innovative and creative approach, hands-on team player with a passion for people. HR Specialist supports the HR team, providing them with proactive and hands-on performance of the day-to-day human resources functions and duties. The Human Resources Specialist will report to the Human Resources Director and work closely with all members of the team to ensure the successful implementation and consistent administration of human resource initiatives and practices.
Principal Responsibilities
- Fields walk-in inquiries, answering general HR-related inquiries regarding standard topics
- Initiating, monitoring, and tracking projects and processes such as on-boarding tickets, checklists, I-9 documentation, Performance Review completion, distribution lists, etc.
- Participating in and performing audits of HR process data to ensure alignment with compliance regulations
- Effectively utilizing and maintaining HR systems which may include databases or software programs, submits HR Service tickets, New Hire bundles, etc.
- Utilizing a creative approach to creating new hire packets, coordinating associate recognition/engagement programs, etc.
- Providing excellent customer service and project support to the Human Resources team as well as other internal stakeholders
- Supporting time and attendance records processes when needed for bi-weekly payroll prep, reconciles variances, resolves discrepancies, and/or fields associates questions
- Coordinating and partnering to drive employee engagement efforts (includes new hire on-boarding, various employee committee(s), recognition events, community events, and other meetings as needed)
- Maintaining purchase orders and auditing invoices
- Providing reports as requested and maintaining HR KPIs or other records as applicable
- Partnering with HR leadership team on special projects related to a wide variety of HR initiatives and continuous improvements
- Supporting the team in overall HR operations which may include ad hoc assignments within the assigned work scope perspective
Qualifications
Education
Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience
2 years of Human Resources experience, including experience in HR Services, administrative HR, or Talent Acquisition support

- Must be a self-starter who is flexible and able to take initiative with a high degree of accuracy

- Knowledge of human resources management practices and US employment law
- Enjoy working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
